Overview

Students will learn system software, user interface, disassembly procedures, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and important preventative maintenance techniques for the Philips Achieva MRI systems. Led by a Multi-vendor MR OLE, this course presents an overview to the system and provides information on servicing and maintaining Achieva MRI systems.

Products in scope: Philips Achieva (Philips Intera 0.5T, Philips Intera 1.0T, Philips Intera 1.5T, Philips Intera 1.5T W/AC Gradients, Philips Intera 3.0T, Philips Achieva 1.5T, Philips Achieva 1.5T, Philips Achieva 3.0T, Philips Achieva 3.0T, Philips Panorama HFO (1.0T), Philips Ingenia 3.0T, Philips Ingenia 1.5T)

Learning Objectives :

After completion of the course, the service engineer will be able to:

•Understand the function and interrelationship of major system components/subsystems.

•Locate and identify all modules and boards in the Philips Intera / Achieva systems, and explain their basic function 80% of the time without support during troubleshooting and servicing.

•Perform basic system operations (i.e., Patient Registration, Select and plan Protocols, Retrieve/Select Images) 100% of the time.

•Demonstrate understanding of Service & Application SW layout and navigation 100% of the time.

•Follow and apply the appropriate safety procedures (electrical, cryogenic and ECPL) when servicing and troubleshooting a Philips Achieva / Intera system using the appropriate system documentation and tools 100% of the time without support.

•Identify mechanical and electrical safety hazards specifically associated with the Philips Achieva and Intera system.

•Accurately complete the SW backup restore and complete a full system calibration 100% of the time.

•Accurately complete the QA procedures to verify the system is within normal operational parameters 100% of the time.

•Effectively respond to error events 80% of the time.

•Configure and calibrate a Philips Achieva / Intera system during troubleshooting and servicing.

•Identify and explain the function of the primary system components for a Philips Achieva / Intera system.

•Perform functional checks to determine when system operation fails to meet basic OEM specifications.

•Perform a planned maintenance inspection on a Philips Achieva / Intera system using the appropriate system documentation and tools

Required Prerequisites

•MVDI PROCESSES FIELD ENGINEER PROFICIENT COURSE CBT (HLS Code: GEHC-GSS_TECH-MVWEB001-Rev2)

•Proficient MR training/background is required & 1-year MR field service experience.

•All EHS related training.

•Basic electronic circuit theory.

Technical Training

Registration:
• All training must be taken within 18 months of purchase.

Attendance:
• Class start and end times vary. Please refer to email enrollment notification.
• Participants are required to arrive on time for class.
• A "no show" is not eligible for reimbursement.
• In order to receive certificate of completion for a course:
o Participants must attend the class in its entirety; missing a day will disqualify you from receiving full credit
o Participants must pass the assessment administered at the end of the course

Cancellations:
Please carefully review our cancellation policy and how it applies to your cancellation. Should you wish to cancel your registration, we enforce a time sensitive policy. As you can appreciate, a cancelation with less than four weeks’ notice makes it very difficult for another student to plan on attending. If there is someone else in your organization that would like to attend in your place – this fee will not be charged. The cancelation policy is outlined below:
• Cancellations can be made by email or phone: Ed.services@gehealthcare.com or by contacting 888-799-9921.
• The following applies to cancellations of a course or training scheduled at the GE HealthCare Institute:
(i) For cancellations made more than 4 weeks prior to the course/training start date, there is no cancellation fee.
(ii) For cancellations made up to 2 weeks prior to the course/training start date, there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the course/training tuition.
(iii) For cancellations made less than 2 weeks prior to the course/training start date and for no-shows (i.e., registered students who do not attend the course/training and do not cancel in advance of the course/training start date), there is a cancellation fee of 100% of the course/training tuition.
• The following applies to cancellations of an onsite course/training scheduled at your facility (i.e., a GE HealthCare instructor is scheduled to travel to your site) or a remote virtual course/training offering (where specific course/training dates have been agreed upon and scheduled by you and GE HealthCare): there is a cancellation fee of 100% of the course/training tuition, plus you agree to reimburse GE HealthCare for GE HealthCare’s incurred travel charges and expenses.
• GE HealthCare reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course/training for any reason and at any time. GE HealthCare will not be responsible for any travel-related costs incurred by you.


Low Enrollment:
• GE reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment.
• Classes with low enrollment 15 business days prior to the scheduled date will be cancelled.
• When GE cancels a class, tuition will be refunded in full, or may be applied to the cost of another class scheduled to take place within 12 months of the original class.
