Product Overview

A DAP meter measures the incident air kerma area product (DAP) the recording of the DAP value is required for comparison with diagnostic reference levels in radiology and fluoroscopy. It provides a wide range of rectangular light transparent DAP chambers suitable for most of the X-Ray systems. The rectangular light transparent DAP meters are slid into the accessory rails at light field collimators, whereas in C-arm machines the DAP chamber is usually installed inside the housing of the X-Ray source. DAP meters with display (stand-alone systems) can be used for the retrofitting of existing X-Ray systems. The wireless configuration, using an independent battery power supply and an integrated display unit, or alternatively, a wireless data transfer to an external display unit makes installation very easy. Wired configurations are also possible. Most modern X-Ray systems are equipped with a built-in DAP meter. In this case the measured values are directly linked to the digital X-Ray image. The standard VacuDAP factory calibration is done at 70 kV with a tube filtration of 2.5 mm Aland without additional absorbers. The GE product is an innovation which fits well into versatile customer needs. The part is diligently designed for superior performance and reliability.     Return And Exchange

    GE Healthcare will accept, for return from customer, items that are in new condition, unworn, unaltered and free of damage. Items cannot be returned or exchanged beyond 30 days from customer’s receipt of the original order and all returned items will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. To obtain a full refund or exchange of the item within the 30 day return period (subject to the 15% restocking fee) customer must request a return materials authorization (RMA) from GE Healthcare and return the item to GE Healthcare utilizing this RMA number. Items must be returned in the original packaging, unused and free of damage.

    Please note, cuffs, BP items and hazmat items cannot be returned. If a replacement order is requested, the restocking fee may be waived at GE Healthcare’s sole discretion.
