Product Overview

The Camera Interface Board Assembly is used in the interventional image guided systems. The camera interface board is the communication interface between the CPU and the camera electronics. This allows the camera to be software controlled and monitored. The interface board also provides the window signal which allows the video to be averaged within a particular area. The main function of the board is to provide an interface between the 80188 processor-board of the VIC module and TV electronics. The interface is to enable the camera to be controlled and diagnosed via software. The board has the generation of the Automatic Brightness Correction (ABC) window signal so the average brightness of the image within a certain area. The interrupt buffer is automatically cleared when it is read it for the next interrupt. The A/D circuitry consists of a 16–Channel analog multiplexer, an internal/external switch, an 8 – bit A/D converter and an assortment of timing and selecting circuitry. The A/D converter can operate in a unipolar mode in which the signal ranges from -5 to +5 VDC. The input signal to the multiplexer or mux includes the outputs of the D/A converters, power supplies, four external signals and DC signals representing the duty cycle of the horizontal and vertical ABC window signals. The product is securely packaged inside a high quality packing box to avoid physical damage during transit. It is used in a wide range of medical equipment such as Advantx LUC/LP Digital, Lightspeed QX/I and other medical diagnostic imaging equipment.
