Using Single Sign On (SSO)

In order to login or register for Service Shop, you must have a GE SSO (Single Sign On) user ID.

SSO access is a login process that simplifies your access to all GE SSO-enabled applications. Please see below for detailed instructions and step-by-step videos on migrating your account to SSO, registering for Service Shop, and what to do if you’ve forgotten your password.

  • You should have received an email confirming your existing GE SSO ID – please check your email to insure you use the correct GE SSO ID.
  • Click “Sign In” on the Service Shop homepage.
  • Select “CONTINUE TO SSO LOGIN
  • You'll be directed to the GE SSO Sign On Page
  • Enter your GE SSO ID and password and login.
  • You will be directed back to the Service Shop home-page logged in to your account.
    • If you forgot your password, please select “Forgot your password?” in the footer of the GE SSO Login Page and scroll down for further instructions.
  • You should have received an email confirming the creation of your new GE SSO ID and temporary password.
    • If you cannot find this email, please contact GE Service Shop support at sso.support@ge.com.
  • Open Service Shop's home page.
  • In the upper right corner, click Sign In
  • Select Continue to SSO Login
  • You will be directed to the SSO Login Screen
  • In the field provided, enter your new GE SSO ID and provided temporary password.
  • Click Log In
  • In the fields provided, please enter the GE SSO ID that was assigned to you in the email, your email address, and current (temporary) password.
  • Select your Password Challenge question and answer.
  • Click Submit.
  • Click OK to accept the Terms and Conditions.
  • If there were no validation errors, you will be directed towards the confirmation screen.
  • Return to Service Shop's home page.
  • In the upper right corner, click Sign In
  • Select Continue to SSO Login
  • You will be directed to the SSO Login Screen
  • In the field provided, enter your new GE SSO ID and provided temporary password.
  • Click Log In.
  • You will be directed back to the Service Shop home-page logged in to your account.

After selecting “GET SSO ID AND REGISTER” you will be directed to the GE SSO Registration Application. Here, you will need to:

  • Complete the required fields on the form.
  • Check your User ID for availability. If your ID is not available, please choose one that is.
  • Complete the security challenge by dragging the directed object into the “drop here” circle. Doing so will activate the “Submit” button.
  • Click Submit.

  • Accept the Term’s & Conditions in the popup.
  • You will receive an email verification that your GE SSO ID was successfully created, and be directed to the GE Single Sign On login page.
  •  

  • On this screen you will need to enter your newly created GE SSO ID and password.
  • Once you enter the correct GE SSO ID and Password, select one of the two login options. You will be directed to the Service Shop Account Registration Page.
  • On this screen, many of the fields are prefilled.
  • You just need to fill out the fields highlighted in green.
  •  

  • Upon completion, read terms & conditions and acknowledge your acceptance of them by selecting the check-box.
  • Click Register
  • If all the fields are completed, your registration will be submitted for approval. Once your account has been approved, you will receive an email welcoming you to Service Shop and providing login instructions.
    • You will not be able to login to Service Shop until your account has been approved.
  • After selecting “REGISTER WITH SSO ID” you will be directed to the GE SSO Login Page
  • Enter your GE SSO ID and password and login.
  • You will be directed to the Service Shop Account Registration Page.
  • On this screen, many of the fields are prefilled.
  • You just need to fill out the fields highlighted in green.
  •  

  • Upon completion, read terms & conditions and acknowledge your acceptance of them by selecting the check-box.
  • Click Register
  • If all the fields are completed, your registration will be submitted for approval. Once your account has been approved, you will receive an email welcoming you to Service Shop and providing login instructions.
    • You will not be able to login to Service Shop until your account has been approved.
  • If you forgot your password, please select “Forgot your password?” in the footer of the GE SSO Login Page.
  • You will be directed to the SSO Password Reset Application

  • In the field provided, please enter your GE SSO ID.
  • Complete the security challenge by dragging the directed object into the “drop here” circle, which will activate the “Submit” button.
  • Click on Submit
  • On the next screen (shown to the right), click the Select button next to I remember my challenge questions or I have access to my email.

    I remember my challenge questions

  • When prompted to confirm your email address, please click Yes.
  • On the next screen (shown to the right), enter your e-mail address and correct response to your password challenge.
  • Choose your new password
    • Your password is case sensitive, must be at least 8 characters long, must start and end with a letter, and must contain at least one number. No special characters except ., @, -, _.
  • Retype your password to confirm.
  • Click Submit.
  • Click OK on the pop-up message.
  • Your password has successfully reset.

    I have access to my email

  • When prompted to confirm your email address, please click Yes.
  • On the next screen (shown to the right), you will be provided with a Reset Code.
  • You will receive an email with the subject Single Sign-On Reset Message. This will include a link to setup your new password; please click it to continue. You will be directed to a page that will ask you to enter the previously provided Reset Code.
  • Enter the code and click Continue.
  • Choose your new password.
    • Your password is case sensitive, must be at least 8 characters long, must start and end with a letter, and must contain at least one number. No special characters except ., @, -, _.
  • Retype your password to confirm.
  • Select your password challenge question and answer.
  • Click Submit.
  • Click OK on the pop-up message.
  • Your password has successfully been reset.
