Product Overview

The 120V 2A Fuse (Relay Board. 10 or Higher) is a fuse that comes as a part of the relay board in the infant radiant warmers and incubators. They provide infrared heat in a controlled manner to neonates who are unable to thermos-regulate based on their own physiology. The relay board interfaces the DC control signal to the chassis mounted Solid-State Relay (SSR), which controls the incubator heater. The control signals for the heater SSR originates on the control board. It also provides standby power to the unit. A fuse is provided between the relay board of revision 10 and the supply valves. It prevents high current from the board entering the valve housing, should have a short occur in the supply valves. The thin filament in a fuse heats up and melts or burns in case of excess current. Thus fuse stops the power supply by breaking the circuit, thus preventing a permanent damage to the unit. It comes as a part of various medical equipment such as Panda™ iRes Warmer, Giraffe™ Incubator, Giraffe™ OmniBed™ and Giraffe™ Warmer.
