Product Overview

The Flow Sensor Offset - Breathing Circuit Gas (BCG) is a variable orifice bidirectional flow sensor used for measuring air flow rates of patients. Equipped with electro-pneumatic interface for an external connection, the device is compatible to be used with various medical equipment. The taper and groove design of offset flow sensor drives the moisture water away from the sensing area and hence allows it to be used in high humidity area, without resorting to system heating. It is used to create a pressure drop that can be sensed by a differential pressure transducer. Each output signal from the pressure transducer consistently represents a unique gas flow rate. The data from the pressure transducer is calibrated and stored in an internal memory storage equipped with two wire interface for communicating externally.
