The sealing surfaces of the seat and disk must be free of nicks or other damage for the valve to perform are required. The unidirectional valve is user accessible and is designed to be removed and disassembled for cleaning and steam autoclave sterilization to 134° C. The valve assembly consist of a valve seat, retainer disc, check valve disc and an O-ring. This valve is used in both manual ventilation and mechanical ventilation of the Anesthetic Gas Scavenging System (AGSS).
